Kirklea Barn is a gorgeous Grade II listed barn conversion sitting right on the edge of the Peak District — so if you're after stunning countryside and great walking, you're in exactly the right place.
Inside you'll find all the charm you'd expect from a historic barn, think exposed beams and original stonework, but with all the modern comforts to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
The barn sits next to a smallholding (run by your hosts) which gives the place a really unique feel. There are animals roaming about nearby which guests tend to love, and if that's not quite your thing, don't worry, the property is fully fenced and gated so you have your own private space.
The Space
Spread across two floors, the barn has been thoughtfully converted to make the most of its space and character, sleeping up to 4 guests in two comfortable double bedrooms.
The ground floor centres around a generous open plan living, dining and kitchen area, original exposed beams sit alongside modern finishes, giving the space a warm and characterful feel. A log burner makes it the perfect place to unwind after a day out exploring, whatever the season.
Both bedrooms are well appointed doubles, with one benefitting from its own ensuite bathroom. A further two bathrooms serve the rest of the property, so there's never a queue for the shower.
Step outside onto the patio and you're greeted with stunning views across the valley, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or an evening around the fire pit as the sun goes down.
